Why did they take The O.C. off, and if they do put it on the C.W. will it have new episodes?

i love the O.C., it was a teen drama, the characters were unforgettable, the way it ended was weird, don't you think? you think that they will continue the story when it returns on the C.W.?

Why did they take The O.C. off, and if they do put it on the C.W. will it have new episodes?
I was not a fan of The O.C., but I did see the finale as I was coerced into taping it for my roommate. I personally thought the ending was decent, and my roommate (who loved the show) thought it was a good way to wrap up the series - it was the ending of one part of their lives and the beginning of the next. TV shows have tendencies to leave things open-ended, unless everyone dies. You probably don't want that, though.

And it was cancelled because ratings kept going down throughout the second and third seasons, and only 16 episodes were ordered for the fourth. Then the network passed on renewing it.

And, no, they won't make new episodes (though I'm not sure if the CW will pick it up in syndication): Josh Schwartz, the creator of the show, reportedly said, "Yeah, this season will indeed be the last. There was some speculation about a Season 5 on another network but we are having a really fun, great run and I feel like better to go out now than stay too long at the party... and after 4 seasons of the OC, I know a lot about parties..."
Reply:their ratings were dwindling towards the last episodes.
Reply:they took The O.C. off because it was too "fake".

i'm not sure if they will have new episodes but I know i'm not gonna watch them.
