Buying a new A.C?

HI!, I am looking to buy a new Window AC for home use.I personally feel that 2 Ton capacity AC will be fine for me.But I am confused with the brands availiable in the market.Can Any one guide me on this ?. Efficiency should be the primary part to sort.

LG , Samsung are good n cost less than other brands. Both are of the same quality. I have 2 samsung acs. Both are working great.





if you want to invest more, than go for a Hitachi I feel that they make lesser noise than the samsung ,lg ones. But window acs make lil noise. You should proly consider goin for a split ac too,as they are competitively priced ths days.

1 bedroom house 1 ton ,2 bedrooms 2 ton, 3 bedrooms 3 tons get it? 6000 BTU= 1 ton,12,000 BTU=2 ton,18,000BTU= 3 ton approximation. the BTU data will be in the sheet on the ac by law placed on each ac and marke energy saver guidelines yellow tag. the best is frederick the worst is a chinese off brand called saier maytag sometimes is ok by they have had lots of probs ,fedders is proven product fedders might be the way to go! or frederick


Gibson and frigedaire are also very good.

They usually are rated in BTU's.


How big is your room (HxWxD)?
Reply:capacity is to be desided by the total area of that room. calculate the area and deside the ton of the aaaaaaaa/c to be bought. L.G is cheap and best. otherwise go for an assembled one
