Auto a/c, adding refrigerant oil to new compresor?

I own a 98 chevy s-10 blazer. I have replaced the compressor. I couldnt drain the oil from the old compressor or there wasnt any because of a leak. I am unsure how much oil to add to the new compressor. The compressor is a "compressorworks" from dallas texas. Any advice? Thanks

Auto a/c, adding refrigerant oil to new compresor?
GM R134 systems use PAG 150 oil. About 6 to 8oz. in the total system. You must flush the whole system or your new compressor will fail and not be warrantied.

Replace the orifice tube and accumulator. Vacuum system for at least 30 minutes and then you can charge it with the correct amount of R134.

Be sure to turn the compressor by hand after charging at least 10 turns before you run the system or you will damage this compressor.

If you have all of these tools, good luck. If not, well then see a professional to have it done.
Reply:New or Rebuilt compressors for reputable source come with the oil in them.. Call your supplier and ask!
Reply:good answers there 4oz is fine, they do not come serviced, hense the big red tag on it when you take it out of the box, one thing to add, rent an AC vacuum motor if you want a cold system, air in the lines has moisture, and will not chill as well.
