The new earth gilese 581-c Super earth???

im jnsut curious about this new planet that theyve found 20 light years away which may have the rite amount of water and oxygen, and climate to support. The question is do u guys think their is lif eon this planet if so how long will it take us to get their or just to send a satelite with no humans on it ?

The new earth gilese 581-c Super earth???
No telling if there's life there, tho chances may be good.

We just don't have a practical way right now to send something there that will arrive in less than tens of thousands of years.
Reply:Alpha Centauri is about four-light years away. There’s a lot of empty space between us and this star. If you imagine Earth as small as a grain of sand, then Alpha Centauri would still be over 10 kilometers—or about 6 miles—away. Yet Alpha Centauri is the nearest star to our sun!

The only rockets now used to fly people into space are those like our American space shuttle. Shuttles travel only a few hundred kilometers into space. Again, if Earth were the size of a sand grain, this would be about the width of a hair in contrast to the 10 kilometers to Alpha Centauri. One would need about 10,000 shuttle main engines in sequence just to build up a decent speed (say, 1/100th light speed). So space shuttles are far from being star ships. About the closest vehicles we have to star ships currently are the Voyager spacecraft—launched from Earth 20 years ago—and now heading out of the solar system. The Voyagers aren’t aimed toward Alpha Centauri, but if they were, they’d take about 50,000 years to get there.

Reply:About life:

There may be life on this planet.

Life is not always as you know and see it (cats, dogs, insects, humans...)

A virus (invisible to the common eye) is a form of life.

Energy that can change shapes is another form of life.

About how long:

Less than a minute using hypercube transfer or teletranfer (used in N@SA experiments for more than 10-15 years)

Can't tell no more, sorry....

I'll have to kill you afterwards (ha ha ha )
