7 mo. after c-section - too soon for a new baby?

My husband and I have talked and really want another baby. We are ready financially, emotionally, etc. Our first was born by emergency c-section (placenta abruption). If you had a baby about that long after a c-section, how was your experience, physically? Did everything go ok with the next baby?

My daughter is only 4 1/2 months old and we're already talking about trying for #2. I really wanted our first 2 close in age, so it's what we want. I'm breastfeeding, so I doubt it'll happen soon, but to me, it's not too early.

I didn't have a c-section, but they'd probably reccommend you wait at least a year. That said, it's YOUR body, and I'm sure you'll know if you can manage or not. And there's no gurantee you'll conceive within the first month or 2 of trying anyway, so no worries!
Reply:Ok, my opinon may not mean much because I dont have any children, but my sister does have two...She had a c-section with both...

My nephew was 11 months old when my sister got pregnant with my niece...

As for complications with her birth or pregnancy there were none, but she now has a very heavy painful period ( that she never had before) and she has experienced 2 ovarian cysts.
Reply:From what I have read, it takes about 18 mos for your body to return to normal after a pregnancy , regardless of delivery . But as you know that doesnt happen often. If you feel ok and are ready then it shouldnt be a problem. Good Luck.
Reply:Here is the answer that I've seen most often:

should wait a year after one section before becoming pregnant again. Many obstetricians still stick to this advice, and there is a body of evidence that supports waiting at least six months before trying to conceive again.
Reply:With my first pregnancy I didn't have a c-section but this is what I just read: "Try to wait at least 6 months before beginning a new pregnancy (which you are) or at least it must be 12 months between the 2 deliveries."

Therefore, if your doctor says you are healthy enough to get pregnant again then go for it. Don't forget it can take a few months before you conceive again. Also there are tons of women who get pregnant before the 6 month mark and are just fine (well somewhat....) (i.e., Britney Spears and I think she had a c with both of her boys).
Reply:my drs told me to Waite at least a year i had a c section with my daughter due to loosing her heart beat.and as i get farther along i am having more and more stomach pains wear i had my incision
Reply:My friend has two daughters that are about that close and they have alot of fun together. It was rough on mom but she survived. If your doctor says your healthy go for it!
