Well if you are comparing blu-ray to HD-dvd the quality is the same. Blu-ray is certainly better than regular DVDs, but you wouldn't want to play regular dvds on the x-box anyhow. the processor on board that thing sucks. If you buy a blu-ray unit it will also play your regular DVDs. but don't buy one just yet. Blu-ray pricing is currently going up. the best value right now is the PS3.

I have a new PC with 2 250g disk. How should I organize the disks? Should Programs be on the C or D drive?
Should I leave MyDocs on C drive? Should Data reside with the programs or on seperate drives?
I will be running Pinnacle movie software and creating movies using much space. Should this data be on the same drive as Pinnacle SW? Should this SW be on the same drive as the OS (C). I need tips on how to best take advantage of all this space and not hoze up my PC

Whoa you guys have been buying some huge hard drives. You only need about a 10GB partition for Windows XP. This makes me feel like I should buy a new hard drive cause my 120GB is starting to seem kind of small. I suggest you make a 10GB partition for Windows and then organize things on other partitions by groups. I have a partition that is just for games and I have an encrypted partition and a partition that I installed Linux on and so on and so forth. You should keep as few things on the partition that has Windows on it as you can so that way if and when windows goes all to hell your important stuff will still be safe.

I have forgotten my password to one of my yahoo email adress. When I provide my personal info to get a new password, Yahoo doesn't recognise my information (birthday or zip code or territory or all of them). It says that the info should match with the one I stored when I first entered my information. And it's what I did! My account is now blocked. I just got a new job at Wal-Mart as receiving/shipping. I know I shouldn't be asking this but I'm new to this postion and don't exactly understand what are the duties it involves. Can anyone please help me, and explain to me the all that has to be done. All your help is greatly appreciated.

I currently have 60 gb and I added 160 gb more and now the old is the master but I want to make the new one the master the files from the old one are copied now what do I do ??? I need specifics I moved the jumpers but it did not boot up I have xp on a boot disk that came with my emachines not xp alone and does increasing the hard drive make the computer run faster ???

It does not have to be in D.C. proper, any place near DC like Tenley Circle or Bethesda would be good for me too.

The cheapest way is one of the Chinatown buses (I've used todaysbus.com). But it can be an awful ride, and for some reason, both in DC and in NYC they seem to yell at you at lot as they're getting everyone boarded.
I think it's worth it to spend an extra $10-15 and take Greyhound/Peter Pan. You can usually get a special price if you book online in advance. And they show a movie usually.
The most pleasant way is via Amtrak - a three hour trip (as opposed to 5 on the bus), and you arrive in Manhattan, which makes it preferable to flying - you'll save money on cab fare into the city. But it's not cheap - $160 round trip, usually.

Hook up a manifold gauge set and tell us the high and low pressure readings. There are two possibilities:
1) The new compressor shredded itself during the recharge process, due to residual debris or the can was upside down sometime during charging. The high %26amp; low pressures will be equal or nearly so.
2) The new expansion valve (TXV) is clogged with debris and preventing the flow of refrigerant into your evaporator core. High side will be hot and only about 100psi higher than the low side.
Your old pump probably left behind debris in the system. You need to replace the pump and TXV again, but this time flush out the condenser and evaporator and lines first. Replace the accumulator and any hose assembly with an unflushable muffler or filter built in. Find out the PAG oil capacity and viscosity for your system - put 3 oz. in the new pump before installing it, and divide the remaining oil equally between the condensor, evaporator, and accumulator. Evacuate the system with a good 2cfm vacuum pump, you can rent or borrow one from the auto parts store. Pump down to -29" mercury for 20 minutes. Turn off the pump and make sure it holds vacuum for 10 minutes. Be sure to hold each can upright during charging, to avoid liquid refrigerant from flowing into the compressor and kissing it goodbye!

Reply:The flow you see does it look like bubbles? are the fans turning? Right! is there hot water running through the heater core? is the belt tension at the pump pulley correct? are the Eng. RPMs correct at Idle? is the condenser in front of the radiator clean and does it have good air flow?
Any or all of these can cause this problem.

Reply:The flow you see does it look like bubbles? are the fans turning? Right! is there hot water running through the heater core? is the belt tension at the pump pulley correct? are the Eng. RPMs correct at Idle? is the condenser in front of the radiator clean and does it have good air flow?
Any or all of these can cause this problem.
Reply:blower motor could be clogged, the heater hose shut off might not be shutting off and hot water is still going thru the airbox, which will heat up the cold air,

I have used the Mouse for months, it just quit working. The software shows that the batteries are good, the signal is strong, and all is working. I uninstalled the software, and reinstalled it, and even bought a new IntellilMouse and installed it %26amp; it will not work. Any help that you can give me will be appreciated. Thanks Lloyd

I have a 60+ year old house, two story with basement. There is no current A/C system and I want to install one but am running in to a wall, literally, with supplying an air return from the sexond story.

the generall rule of thumb on sizing an a/c is 400-500 sq feet per tone. depending on how well imsulated. with old house id say use the 400 number, you will need probably a 4-5 ton unit. the thing is, unless you have a refrigerant license and a legit a/c tech, you cannot purchase the a/c yourself. as far as return air,run a 14" return flex duct into a ceiling mount return air box aprox 20x25 into hallway on second floor. as for suply ducts, depends on size of a/c used and size of rooms, There is a chart called a DUCTULATOR that hepls u determine what you need per room.. but honestly consult a qualified A/C service company and have them come do a work up of your house. trust me, its better to do it right first time, then fight it forever.

According to me, it is India. The reason is Australian team batting order is very bad. Their bowling is nothing according to me. The yahoo users agree with my point.
1. India - Australia Test %26amp; One-dayers always Play in Neutral venues Like singapore or tornonto or Even south africa
2. One Umpire from south africa and another umpire from Srilanka.
3.If any decision is doubt for the umpires, then it will be sent to Third umpire to make final decision on the issue.

You raise excellent points. Senator Obama plays up his Black Kenyan family but does not mention that his Kenyan family is ethnically Arab not African and classified as such in the Kenyan census. Technically Senator Obama is an Arab American with a smattering of Black African blood, from which he gets his skin pigmentation.
To qualify for minority status under US Federal law, the person must be 1/8 or 12.5% ethnically of a designated minority. Senator Obama is 6.25% as his last 'Black African' forebearer was a great great great grandmother. The Senator is technically 50% Caucasian (mother), 43.75% Arab 6.25% Black African (father).
Senator Obama gulled Colombia to gain admission as an 'African American', then gulled Harvard Law to do the same, and so far has done a great job gulling the American voters.
Arab newspapers have proudly pointed this out in the past! Why do you think the Senator has had so much financial help from Arabs--Rezko, Al-Sammarae, Auchi?

It depends. If they cannot repair your ipod nano, they will give you the same original ipod nano same to yours. If they don't have anymore of that, they will probaly notify you to tell you about your nano

Most children I encounter don't have any manners at all and neither do their parents. This particular stunt is right down there with Newlyweds smearing wedding cake into each other's faces. Disgusting.

Frankly, I would have been over there crowning my son on the head for putting his fist through the wall... then taking him to the hardware store to purchase supplies for him to repair it with.

It just seems these days that "Madison Avenue" is populated by "Gen-X'ers" who THINK what they are dreaming up is REALLY FUNNY when it's NOT. Moreover in the new cars it will burn more since, the power of the compressor attached is more powerful that the older. But the refreshment and the enjoyment is not explained in this right? Enjoy...........

I had a New Years Eve baby by c-section. Before anything happen I started shaking, shivering.?
. I went in at 4:30pm got my epidural and getting more afraid by the moment. I couldn't stop the shaking! Freaking me out from the last time I did this with my other baby (like I could have a secure). At 5:06 my baby was born 8 pds 2 oz! Going back into my room to (suppose to rest) the med's started to ware off around where my stomach is (they cut out my old scar and put a new one) Then with in the hour in a half I could wiggle my toes. I got some hard core med's to relieve my pain though. Lol so with in 45 mins from then I could move to the chair and back to bed. Then I woke up to move I wasn't sure If I really wanted to try to, lol I sucked it up, until I took a shower to discover I had 15-20 stables, couldn't bare to look. Really! It was harder to get around with tugging. Then when I got home to finally rest (because those beds aren't made for tall ppl) I got into our bed fine and when I woke up I had those shakes again Like I was freezing (Is this because of hormones or the anesthesia)??. Then that night I had them! Then started getting cramps in my lower legs too (like when I was pregnant). My period blood would turn brownish then to bright red. Is all this normal?

It might just be from whatever medication your taking now, but you don't want to chance it. Check and make sure you don't have a fever, if you do you might want to go to the hospital, to make sure you don't have an infection. I wouldn't worry about the bleeding.

i have vista home basic,with a 160gb HDD..i just installed a maxtor 160gb HDD but instead of it becoming part of my C drive memory, the set-up made me choose another drive letter for it(F-drive)!! i'm low on HDD memory(RAM is 2gigs) and i need the two to join together...what's up???how do i do that??? thanks

But judas rabbi just answered "no, i dont, never had" thats because judas rabbi knows that buk and mek were friends. It seems to me that LA Sen Landrieu desires to have the Federal government (taxpayers) build her a NEW Louisianna instead of reclaiming, rebuilding what Louisianna lost due to Katrina. Since when is it the responsibility of the rest of the country to GIVE TO (not even give back) to Louisianna over and above what they themselves allowed Louisianna to lose?
The real question should be how/why/where can Senator Landrieu justify requesting the 250 billion dollars?
As for those in Washington and whether or not they actually approve of this request. It is possible that Congress approve her request and appropriate that amount. Even if this were to happen it doesn't mean she would actually get it. It simply means that the funds would be made available if need be. The problem with that is the majority of Congress would be influenced by the 28 Finance/Appropriations Committee members instead of thoroughly examing the request for themselves. Kinda like playing "follow the leader". Anyone with a brain knows how destructive that can be if the leader doesn't know how to lead. So do they have calculators? They would tell you that they don't need calculators, all they need is someone to tell them what to vote. I'd pass on supplying them calculators if I could supply them with common sense.
As for your question how much (money) do we give to New Orleans to blow? I say not one red cent. We go out of our way to supply the residents of New Orleans shelter, food and compensation to sustain them until they can reclaim their own lives (for a determined set of time). I am not in favor of improving
their lots in life if they are not willing to take the bull by the horns and improve it for themselves.
I felt as obliged as most Americans did to help immediately following Katrina until I saw how the majority of people behaved. All we heard about is how absolutely awful the conditions were in the temporary shelters immediately following the storm. You know what I saw, I saw thousands of people throwing trash anywhere and everywhere without even trying to maintain their shelters in some sense of order. We heard of fecal matter being smeared on walls. People relieving themselves wherever they felt like it.. For goodness sakes, they were in a flood! All you have to do is carry water to a toilet, pour it in and flush it for it to be ready to use again!! Over and over again we heard how the conditions were terrible. Where did we see people trying to take care of each other instead of sitting waiting for someone else to take responsibility for them?.Also, if the people of New Orleans were ignorant enough to re-elect the one man (their beloved mayor) to office that *I feel* is responsible for everything that went wrong in New Orleans post Katrina, I will not willingly support them in _anything_. How can you be in charge of a city like New Orleans knowing that one big blow could decimate the city and not plan for it? He ran! He literally ran from the city leaving the less fortunate to fend for themselves and then has the gall to blame everybody else for what happened. And they re-elected him... No, I don't feel sorry for them... not anymore.

My Saturn SC1 needs a new A/C compressor. Can I change it myself and just charge it up using refill kits?
I can get a compressor for $312 and freon costs %26lt;$30. Why do I need to pay somebody to do it? I have all the instructions to do it but I am nervous. Is there anything I should watch out for for well over $1000? I know that I need to keep it capped, clean and level when I install it. Any other advice? Do rebuilt compressors come with the oil already inside it like the new ones do?

Why does he feel the need to have her number in his phone?i mean he's married! It kinda concerns me because he had to have asked someone for her number or she had to have called him. I heard that when you transfer to a new college they only look at "C's" and higher, is this true?
Therefore, if a student has a D or even an F will they disregard that and only look at how many A's, B's, and C's a student has to determine if you're accepted?

I just got a new cd burner and i burnt two cds sucessfully, but now when i hit the button 'burn' it just says 'PLEASE INSERT A EMPTY DISK TO WRITE TO....'
and it is empty because i have tryed several and there all brand new.
Using CD-R's.

Some cheap CD-Rs can be defective. I would try another brand or other disk. Still have problems? Go to device manager %26gt; Uninstall the drive %26gt; go to the Action menu %26gt; Scan for hardware changes. Should refresh the device with the drivers.

I just bought a new 2008 Toyota Corolla. I bought an extended warranty b/c it went up to 100,000 miles.?
The warranty covers the engine, a/c, electrical, etc. It's the Platinum level with $0 deductible.
Now I am wondering if I really needed it. This is my first Toyota so I am not sure what their repair record is.
Does anyone know when a Toyota is likely to start needing repairs? I do a lot of stop and go driving, not too much highway driving. I go through brakes like crazy (I know the warranty doesn't cover them).
I would love to hear from a Toyota mechanic/Owners. Anyone else who knows something is great too.

Boy, what a mixed bag of answers/opinions! I also work for Toyota. Since no one can forsee the future, it's impossible to really say if you wasted your money, but we can say that your drivetrain is the same one they have been using for a few years, and we haven't seen any problems with them. Your car's covered for 3 yrs/36,000 miles bumper to bumper and the drivetrain is warranted for 5 yrs/60,000 miles. It is not true that even the best of warranties will exactly replace and extend that warranty...they just don't cover as much stuff, period. But it will cover the majority of major repairs, and if that is what you are looking for, then it's a good deal. Some other thoughts...:Yes, we make money on the sale of the warranties. But we do not make the decision as to what is covered, and we would certainly never lie about it. We actually like the warranties, because they are usually a guaranteed repair, even if at a slight discount. So don't think the dealers don't like them. Yes, Toyota had a problem with sludging, but only on two models of engines. (It's a shame they were is so many cars!!) But we do NOT engineer the engines to fail. If we did, they would fail at 60,000, not at 100,000. The 100K comes in because we EXTENDED the warranty VOLUNTARILY when we saw we had a problem. And most of the time, owners can get their cars covered even longer if they push.....But I am a little confused by texasm...if the Prius is under recall (which some of them were) why is there a claims agent involved? There is no limit to miles or age on recalls.
Something I think all people need to understand is this: one of the reasons that Toyota has the number of recalls it does is its willingness to step up to the plate and fix problems, unlike other manufacturers who have to be caught and forced to repair theirs. Rememer the Firestones? Ford knew for quite a while there was a problem before responding, whereas Toyota immediately replaced all affected tires.
Furthermore (and this parts hurts, but is true), it seems that we have a lot more problems with the cars as more and more are manufactured in the US.
The Corolla is one of the most dependable cars Toyota builds. In my experience the little hickups are usually ironed out before the warranty expires, and then you will have many years of enjoyable ownership. Good luck and God Bless!

Reply:I had a Toyota Tercel when I first graduated. I had it for about 7 years before I had any problems with it. I traded it in because I lived in a rural area and there was no local Toyota dealer (or anyone who could work on a foreign car) and I had 2 kids and needed something bigger. I loved that car. It was small, but it ran great. The only problem I ever had was a hose that needed to be replaced. That and my husband thought that it was too small, but that was the model, not the maker. I wold love to have another Toyota.

Reply:Yes Toyota Dealers Offer extended warranties on Toyota's, and yes i don't want to shock or alarm you but they make a profit on warranties when they sell them. It is debatable whether you need one or not...but Toyota's can break, just like a space shuttle can break. In this world its wise to expect the unexpected. If knowing that for the next 100,000 miles you will NEVER have to fork out possibly hundreds or thousands of dollars should something fail gives you peace of mind, then keep it.
Reply:I run a salvage yard. The toyotas do NOT hold up to their predecessors. They tend to blow an eng right after the 110k mark. (i thinks its intentional because of the 100k warranty)They are having a horrible problem with engine sludge. I once told my fiancee not to get a brand new solara....but it looked good... i changed the oil and filter every 3000 and at 100k i took off the valve cover and she looked at it and "dont even say a word" now she know why toyota buys so many engines from here.......

Reply:Most likely, as long as you follow your factory recommended maintainence, you won't need the warranty. Toyotas for the most part have good repair records. (Yaris and the latest-generation Avalon are exceptions) Hopefully, you won't need it, but crap happens.

I am a warranty claims adjuster, and just today, I had several calls on 2006 Toyota Prius for steering shafts that were recalled, 1 2005, 1 2006, Highlanders with ABS lights on, one needed the ABS control Module, one needed a wheel speed sensor, a 4 Runner with a catastrophic transmission failure, etc. For anyone to assume a vehicle won't break down because of the company's reputation, should spend some time reading consumer reports on Toyota. They are on track to surpass Ford and Dodge recalls combined. I don't think this extended warranty was a mistake at all. You can either take the gamble that nothing will go wrong and keep your warranty money, but if something goes wrong, your first problem may cost you the cost of your warranty. It might even happen twice. It is nothing more than insurance really. We pay for insurance on our vehicles, but we never know if we will use it. I have been with the same insurance company for 3 years and never had anything more than a towing reimbursement when my fuel pump went out. Thanks to not having a warranty on my truck, I paid full cost of the fuel pump, 700.00. If I had paid 700.00 for a warranty, I wouldn't have to pay for the fuel pump. I also wouldn't be worried that now I am having trouble again, so I don't know if the fuel pump was the problem. Think the shop will admit they were wrong? It wouldn't matter if I had a warranty like yours. It is a gamble and only you can make the decision if you want the warranty or not. In defense of Corolla owners, I don't recall recently having any claims on the Corolla. The thing is, I didn't have any calls about a 2006 Prius in 2005 either. 2004-2006 Prius is just now being recalled for steering shafts, starting June 2006. If this shaft breaks, you lose your steering. The cost if you had to pay for it on your Corolla, is 1090.56. You never know when a recall will be announced. You never know when something will break.

The dealer that performed the repair called in a warranty on it because the NEW PART FAILED EXACTLY as the parts that caused the recall. We didn't cover the part because Toyota has a 12/unlimited warranty on their parts and it isn't 11/2007 yet. The shops do make attempts to get us to cover parts that are still under their warranty. The majority of shops don't do this, but this shop called me back and said the part only had a 12/12 and the vehicle had 15,000 on it since the recall repair was done. Little did he know that I had already called Toyota of America and gave him the reference number Toyota gave me on the call. They checked the VIN, owner's info, recall repair date, and told me the part has a 12/unlimited warranty. Some shops do try to get things by us, but thats just business. The Platinum Plan this individual has is not bumper-to-bumper by any means. What it means is that anything that is not SPECIFICALLY listed in exclusions is covered. What it means is that it covers way more than a Deluxe Plan would cover. In a Deluxe Plan, it only covers what is specifically listed as covered, while Platinum only excludes maintenance and emmissions parts. This does not mean it excludes o2 sensors. It excludes body parts, cat conv. and lightbulbs, spark plugs and wires, etc.
Take some thing as simple as a MAF Sensor for example. On a Deluxe Plan, it isn't listed as eligible for coverage. However, making the plan Platinum, it would be covered because it is not listed in Exclusions. A MAF Sensor claim can easily pay for a warranty almost. Some of those sensors can run 400.00 or more, 100.00-150.00 to install, and another 100.00 or so just to diagnose it. I think a warranty is one of the wisest investments anyone can make, but I have to agree with you on Corolla. It is probably the best built car globally since 1980. There is always going to be that one chance that a breakdown can cost big, and then we will be back on here lending a shoulder to someone who wishes they had not cancelled their warranty.

You will hear stories, probably even on here how if they didnt have their warranty it would have cost them 2k dollars out of pocket...etc etc. The dealer sells them cause they make money on them. If you do have a claim, a dealer will try to tell you that it is not coverered. They like to do this cause they have to fork out the cost of the repair. Yes they are reimbursed for the repair, but not 100% so they lose money with warranty repairs.

I think a warranty is one of the wisest investments anyone can make, but I have to agree with you on Corolla. It is probably the best built car globally since 1980. There is always going to be that one chance that a breakdown can cost big, and then we will be back on here lending a shoulder to someone who wishes they had not cancelled their warranty.
Reply:I never buy extended warranties. Buying one a japaneese product is not something I would do either. You will hear stories, probably even on here how if they didnt have their warranty it would have cost them 2k dollars out of pocket...etc etc. The dealer sells them cause they make money on them. I'm sure there are the same amount of people that bought warranties and never used them.
If you do have a claim, a dealer will try to tell you that it is not coverered. They like to do this cause they have to fork out the cost of the repair. Yes they are reimbursed for the repair, but not 100% so they lose money with warranty repairs.

Im 14. me and my new gf go to diff schools. how can i c her?
we talk on the phone every nite but never c each other anymore.i know make plans on the weekends but how can i get a ride to her house or the movies?

Reply:make sure you have everything in check for your parent(s) so they'll have nothing to nag about. I KNOW HOW YA FEEL. But act responsible at school, around the house, and with siblings/adults. Once your parents can trust you they'll probably allow some visitation. Oh, try to have your girlfriend hang out with your family or you hang out with hers. Either way, both families will feel more comfortable with this. Also, maybe bring her up in convos so your folks know how important and special she is. Good luck and take care! ;-)

You can use the ideal gas law to solve this problem fairly easily. Since the balloon is closed, the number of moles before and after the change is constant. So solve the ideal gas law for the number of moles and set the before equal to the after. Then solve for the volume after (V2) to get a function that is the initial volume times the ratio of before and after temperatures and pressures. Then just plug in your numbers, and make sure that your units are consistent and that you use Kelvin for temperature.
