Hello! i have new laptop and linux running on it. cpu0 and cpu1 temperature is 46 C, gpu- 57C is it normal?

my notebook comes with dual core 1.86 mhz and nvidia videocard Go 7300(128 mb).It isn't too loaded when the temperature of cpu is 46 and gpu 57C.

i find program nvclock but i found on one web site that nvidia doesn't supports fan adjustement on laptops. is it right?

I'm asking this because some of my friends have laptops like mine and their cpu temperature usually is 30 C. is temperature depended on distributives of linux?

your friends are lying, 30°C CPU temperatur is simply not true.

btw, there is nothing to fear. 46°C for CPU and 57°C for GPU is ok (comfort zone). danger zone is above 70/75°C.
Reply:yes that's normal I will start to worry went the temperature is over 72c
