I just purchased a new vechile and I was told that the sticker price increased because of a new air conditioning tax.. I have researched it and cannot find anything.
Is anyone aware if it,...... it was about 130.00
Has anyone in Canada heard of a tax for a/c in a new vechile?
$100, so far as I know, and it has been in effect for a good many years. It is definitely not new, and has been shown on invoice sheets for a good many years as well.
Reply:oh god, please don't let the our government in US know, you can't live in the southwest here without being wrapped around an a/c everywhere....lol
Reply:Something to do with environmental tax. Going green means going without, as an A/c requires that the engine uses more fuel. So you are getting penalized for it. Same goes for big engines.
