Are the member of the Church of Christ are allowed to get marry in to a new convert w/c is devorce ?
I am a member of the Lord's Church. Look at "(Mat 19:9) And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." If a thief steals a car before he goes down into the water does he have to go to prision for the crime? Our sins have consquences and a consquence of divorce if it was not because of marital infidelity then celibicy is for the rest of that persons life. Was the divorce because of martial infidelity on his wifes part? If it is his fault then he can never get married. Does not Gods laws pertain to the un saved? Look at "(1Co 7:) " To the person from Harding I do not think the professors would say that.

Attached is 2 great lessons on this

Reply:We do not have church rules like that. If something is going on that seems to be clearly immoral, it will be investigated as it should be but we have no upfront "church rules."
Reply:You need to concern yourself with remedial spelling
Reply:I'm not exactly sure what Iglesia ni Cristo teaches, but biblically, they can remarry if their ex-spouses either died or were unfaithful to them based on Matthew 19:3-9

The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?”

And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?”

He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”
Reply:I got my degree from Harding University a "Church of Christ" affliated University.

Though the teaching of course varies from one person to the next. The majority of proffessors would say that YES they are allowed to get married. The person's divorce happened before they became a Christian and therefore you can not judge someone based on what they did in their past. God has forgiven and forgot and we need to learn to forgive for his mistakes.

The divorce issue comes up when a Christian gets a divorce.

Well, I have heard proffessors speak on this very issue. "Conservative" and "liberal" teachers agree. Yes of course God's law pertains to nonChristians but this person is no longer a nonChristian this person has been born again. He did not have the heart or desire for God's way in his life before. Now he has that heart and desire and he probably sees how he had made a mistake. He is reborn. He is a fresh clean slate, a new chance before God and before men. Of course there are Earthly consequences for sins no matter what. But its not our job as Christians to force them unto people.

Many proffessors will also say that you can get divorced for other reasons besides infidelity. They say that when a person breaks the marriage covenant then biblically divorce is allowed. But not suggested nor recommended. Divorce is better seen as not an option.
