In new model cars, does the a.c. burn more gas?
Hi Maurice,

Normally all the cars burn more gas or petrol as per, when you are using the A/C running. The think it reduces for about 1/10 of the your milage.

Moreover in the new cars it will burn more since, the power of the compressor attached is more powerful that the older. But the refreshment and the enjoyment is not explained in this right? Enjoy...........

Ok Bai Maurice !

Reply:yes, inorder to run the pump that moves free-on through your system it has a belt that is attached to the motor, because the motor has to exert extra force to turn that belt and therefore your pump it expends extra gas
Reply:always
Reply:Yes
Reply:the rule of thumb is below 40 mph burns a little more above 40 mpg about same that's because if you have windows open the amount of drag it causes. The air conditioning systems do not drain as much power from a engine as they use to. Run your air cond. and enjoy don't cost that much
Reply:In all cars, using AC burns more gas.
