do you think they will give me the original nano, or send me the new one that comes in different colors?
I sent inmy ipod for service/repair b/c it would turn off randomly. will they send me the new nano or the orig

Unless it will be recalled. Which the Nano wont be.
Also you may not receive a brand new one it may be refurbished.

Reply:Apple's policy regarding repairs and returns is simple: unless they are physically unable to repair your model, they will return the original to you. In the event it cannot be fixed, they will then substitute a comparable model based upon storage size and functionality.
...so you're getting **your** iPod back.
Reply:Often time they will just give you a refurbished one, always the same model the gave you if the can help it. If it is something small they may give you your old Ipod back.
