A new plant species C formed from hybridization of species A (2n =18) with species B (2n=12).?

would probably produce gametes with a chromosome number of

a) 12

b)15

c) 18

d) 30

e) 60

A new plant species C formed from hybridization of species A (2n =18) with species B (2n=12).?
Sorry but all the alternatives are wrong.

The hybrid would not be able to produce any gametes since because it does not have a full set of chromosome pairs (it has 15 different chromosomes - 9 + 6) it would not be able to produce gametes in meiosis since a key event in meiosis is the pairing of chromosomes at Prophase 1.
